I was on private reproof once too but they didn't stop me from going out in service. You were lucky
LOL! I was on reproof too, twice actually (the second one came as a surprise because I was expecting swift disfellowshipment). I also had to go out in service; actually, they expected me to be active in service as a "proof" that I was really repented. During the second judicial hearing they told me they hadn't lifted the restrictions yet because I wasn't doing enough, though I was putting in like 15 hours a month, despite being busy attending college and everything. THAT was the red flag for me, that made me see how little concern they had for other people's feelings. I never went out to service again, became irregular soon afterwards and eventually faded away. On the rare ocasions that I see one of these elders in the streets I can notice that "we-should-have-DF-you-when-we-could" expression in their eyes that I find very funny.
